Mityana Problem Statement

Understanding the Need in
Mityana District

Many vulnerable children, orphans, widows, youth, and families in Mityana District face poverty, limited education support, malnutrition, spiritual need, and lack of sustainable household income.

The Challenge

The Situation Facing Vulnerable Families

Mityana District has many vulnerable children, orphans, widows, and struggling families who need practical, spiritual, educational, nutritional, and social support.

Many children come from humble families that cannot easily provide school fees, scholastic materials, clothing, meals, and other basic needs. Some children drop out of school because their families cannot afford the requirements needed to keep them learning.

There are also widows, women, and youth who need economic empowerment, skills training, spiritual encouragement, and support to strengthen their families. Without support, many households remain trapped in poverty, dependency, and hopelessness.

Samaritans For Children - Uganda is working to minimize this problem in Mityana District, but the need is bigger than what one organisation can handle alone. This is why partnership, prayer, giving, visitation, and moral support are necessary.

Why Partnership Is Needed

We cannot wipe out this problem single-handedly. The needs of children, orphans, widows, women, youth, and families require collective action and faithful partnership.

And though a man might prevail against one who is alone, two will withstand him; a threefold cord is not quickly broken.
